Step 1
Understanding:
Initial Remodel Consultation
The first visit is held at your house, and focuses on understanding your remodel vision. We’ll address questions such as:
- What problems do you want to solve?
- What parameters does your current space establish for the project?
- What is your remodel budget?
- What is your timeline?
- Do you already have a buildable set of plans or do you need our help to design a solution that achieves your goals?
By the end of our time together, we will have enough information to project and outline the specific information that will need to be gathered in order to determine the true price tag of what you want to accomplish. If you want our help uncovering the missing information, we enter into a design development agreement at this point.
Step 2
Details: Second Consultation
The goal of this second meeting is to capture all the details that will shape your project. Our whole remodel design team is involved in this meeting – designer, estimator, construction director, and project director. We make sure everyone is on the same page and fully understands your objectives and vision. Then we take detailed measurements, document site conditions, and confirm the existing structure. This gives us the information to produce an accurate as-built drawing and develop two or three design options.
Step 3
Direction: Preliminary Design
Now it’s presentation time! For this meeting, you come to our office, or meet us virtually, and we all sit around the conference table and consider the possibilities. In addition to reviewing floor plans and color perspective drawings, we also view the options on a large screen. This allows us to “see” things in 3-D from all angles and provides the opportunity to explore changes or combinations of ideas. Together we determine the direction that best meets your remodeling goals and fits your style.
Step 4
Clarification: Final Design
Tile, fixtures, and hardware, oh my! At this point, it’s all about the details. And there are a lot of them! No need to feel overwhelmed or worry that something will be missed, however. We will identify all the selections and accompanying decisions that need to be made. Then we’ll review them against your project budget, design goals, and style. And then we’ll shop together! You will be amazed at how quickly and painlessly it all comes together. And you will have so. much. fun. We promise!
Step 5
Calculation: Fair & Accurate Pricing
Once all of the design details are nailed down, we dial in the true cost for your project. We pride ourselves on our process and the integrity it brings to our pricing. Our goal is to have no change orders during the build unless you decide to expand the project scope once we’re rolling.

Build: Results
Here we go! The quality of production is directly linked to the quality of preparation.
